Amesbury: Some of our Favorite Haunts

Happy Friday my friends! In honor of Amesbury's 350th birthday this Sunday, we thought that we would share some of our favorite local spots with you since moving to this wonderful city. Check them out!

Being an interior design and design-build company, it only makes sense to start with Amesbury Industrial Supply. With over 60,000 items and multiple floors, we could spend hours in this place! If you read our blog post on hammers, then this place may sound familiar. This is where we go for some of our tools, as well as expert advice on a variety of products that they carry. We love how helpful and knowledgeable the entire staff is. They give you a personalized experience that you would never get from somewhere like Lowe's or Home Depot. They even greet your furry friend with a nice dog treat!

Another reason to love this place is that they buy as many US made goods as possible. We also think its wonderful that they give away 10% of profits to local charitable donations.

The name is very accurate because let me tell you, I crave their food every week. Their menu focuses on food made from scratch using fresh seafood, hand cut steaks and local produce when possible...which we love. If you check this place out, we highly recommend you try their tuna tartare.

Besides the food, another reason to come here is for the wine. They have a nice selection and they don't skimp on the pours!

Out of the 16 different Flatbread Company locations, Amesbury, MA was actually the first location. We love this place because they use locally sourced products and nitrate-free pepperoni. Their pizza is absolutely delicious, but it doesn't leave you feeling unhealthy...who wouldn't want that?!

If you want some recommendations on what to order, our favorite items on their menu is the organic salad and the homemade sausage flatbread pizza. Does anyone else wish that they would sell their salad dressing? Because we sure do!

This shop features local bread, cider, and other country gifts and treats. If you're looking for somewhere to go pick your own fruits throughout the seasons, this is your place! Another reason to visit is for their Farm events such as donut day, a strawberry festival, and many more! It can get very busy during the weekend so we do recommend that you try to go sometime during the week. Crowded or not, its worth visiting!

As you might have realized by now, a lot of our favorite places in Amesbury involve food, BUT the food isn't the only reason we fell in love with this city!

Our last stop is the Powow River Falls, which flows through the center of Amesbury. We actually discovered it as we were walking to get some pizza at Flatbread Company! The falls present interesting views, with a variety of machinery, dams, and houses surrounding the falls.

Fun fact: The falls used to provide ample water power for the early industrial development of the town.

If you have some free time this weekend, go ahead and give these places a try! We would love to know what you think.

As we continue to get the showroom ready, we hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with these local businesses for our future events. Please subscribe to our mailing list to receive updates on our grand opening date and upcoming events...you won't want to miss out!

As always, thank you for reading. We hope that you have a pleasant Memorial Day weekend!
